Recap is seeking an experienced Frontend Software Engineer who will report directly to the CTO. You will work in 3-week cycles with the product team and take a lead role in delivering new UI features ranging from portfolio and charting views, accounting and tax reports to exchange/blockchain integration flows, as well as maintaining and improving existing product features. You will also work on building new pages and functionality on the company's marketing and help sites.
Recap is a client-side application written in TypeScript and using React, utilising a web worker for the ‘backend’ of data encryption and storage, transaction processing and portfolio and tax calculations. User data is encrypted locally so we have zero visibility of transactions and assets and a browser extension is utilised as a CORS proxy to enable completely private data fetching. We also offer a desktop version of Recap hosted in Electron.
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of frontend experience with React, a deep knowledge of TypeScript and practical experience building beautiful user interfaces. You’ll enjoy technically challenging work and can confidently contribute to both UI/UX and code discussions.
The application process consists of a short phone interview followed by a video interview.
